Preschoolers love Dr. Seuss (as do their teachers). This Catholic preschool teacher even teaches Jesus Time lessons based on Dr. Seuss stories! ❤ Put that love of stories with a love of birthdays and you can imagine why we had so much fun celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday last week!
Dr. Seuss was one of the most Christian authors I can think of. The Grinch, Horton, the Sneetches: every one of them exemplifies Gospel kindness and caring. So we are celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday this week with great joy. Today, we made hats for Things with awesome blue hair. (Directions are below.)
The end of the school year competes with the beginning of the school year for me. It’s bittersweet. I hate saying goodbye to my little ones, but love summer. I hate saying goodbye to summer, but love seeing my little ones.
“Some days are yellow. Some days are blue. On different days, I’m different too.” Dr. Seuss is, believe it or not, providing our reading material for Jesus Time these days! His book, My Many Colored Days, has been helping us learn about our feelings … which sometimes feel too big for us to control.
