I look more like I'm grimacing than smiling, but, hey. The sun was in my eyes!! Seriously, though, this town is beautiful.
Yesterday we loaded up and went into town – Indianapolis – for some sightseeing and recreation. We had a blast!!

Besides sightseeing (I’m in front of the capitol building in this photo), we went kayaking on the canal. Got a little wet, but in this heat it was welcome!

We also enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Old Spaghetti Factory together.
I love this time with other Benedictine Sisters, learning about their traditions and insights … but I’m already looking forward to coming home.
I miss our prayer life and community. I miss our chapel. I miss walking down to the lake, alone, to think and pray, knowing all my Sisters are always nearby when I need them.
I’ll write again when I can!!
