To prepare myself – and my students-to-be! – for the fall semester, I am making a colorful knot rosary for each child.
The rosaries are very personal. That is, as I make the knots, I hold in my heart the child for whom the rosary is being made.
I pray for the family, too!
This might seem to be a monotonous job, but for me it’s not.
It’s meditative, contemplative, spiritual. Prayerful. Relational.
Making and praying over these rosaries is a beautiful way to let the old year go and prepare for the new one.
And – although I already loved the children and their families in my mind – this experience is growing the love into my hands and heart. ❤ ❤ ❤
