Technology really has changed the way we teach … or at least the tools we use to teach with. In my classroom, the flood has changed the technology as well.
That’s because the flood destroyed our PC. The downside is that we lost a lot of data. The upside? We replaced the PC with an IPad!
I had read articles and attended presentations about IPads being wonderful tools to use with small children. Similar to the Smart Board, it uses a touch screen, eliminating the trouble preschoolers have with the right and left click. It’s very intuitive and easy to use.
The students were just as excited as I when it arrived in the classroom on Thursday afternoon. We are having a blast! For more information and some great apps, check out these resources:
