You never know what you’re going to find in a monastery. 🙂

Getting ready for Halloween – and the trick or treaters who come to call (mostly children of our staff, but we also get a few neighbor kids) – means the Sisters who most love the day go all out.

Take the ghost haunting Sr. Mary Jane’s door … or the webs draped across our dining doors and serving station.

You’ll be charmed (or annoyed) by the singing hat at the foot of the stairs to the dining room. (It sings the Addams Family theme song … over and over.)

Some years the Sisters dress up and carve pumpkins. Some years they bake special treats.

So here’s proof we do more than pray … even though we think God enjoys our fun, too! 🙂
