We at Grace Academy are celebrating National Catholic Sisters Week.
Every grade is doing something different, of course. My preschool kids are reading stories and coloring books about Benedictine Sisters.
Today’s story is “How Sister Peggy Kept Hank Warm.”
It’s about how our Sister Margaret Suerth helped build a shelter in LaSalle-Peru for homeless people.
Hank was one of the guys she helped, although we changed his name.
The children loved the story, and will love showing their new books to their families tonight.
Tomorrow will bring another story of love and service. Thanks, Catholic Sisters, for your selfless devotion to us all!!!!
