Surviving the summer with help from Harold and his Preschool Friends

I am not a teacher who likes to see the school year end. 😦

One of my least favorite tasks is cleaning off the bulletin boards. They look so bare and depressing!

To help ease my end-of-the-year blues this year, I had the kids decorate the boards for summer. We did it using Harold and the Purple Crayon for inspiration.

What a fun and funny book! After we read it, we watch the video. Then we tape long pieces of white paper to the walls and, you guessed it! The kids get to color them with purple crayons.

Drawing, talking, laughing and having a wonderful time, we create memories that last all summer when I staple them to the otherwise clean bulletin boards!! 🙂
