Celebrating differences courtesy Pablo Picasso

We have continued to learn about Pablo Picasso, using the beautifully illustrated Just Behave, Pablo Picasso! by Jonah Winter. The kids loved the book … and loved our art project even more!

The project was based on Pablo’s musical instrument paintings.

In Pablo style we decorated our papers with different shapes and colors.

When the students was finished with this, we each drew a simple guitar, cut it out, glued it on the paper and added strings using yarn.

As a Catholic school teacher, I love using Pablo’s work. It celebrates differences … and we are all different, unique and special in God’s eyes.

Take a look at the different expressions the kids created and loved!!!
