How We Won a Pajama Day

Every year the students of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Academy help Alleman High School collect food for the Hunger Drive … and our 4-year-old preschoolers are no exception. This year I decided to up the ante: if my kids collected 100 cans, they would earn a Pajama Day. Ha! They worked like crazy to win!

One mom reported that her daughter tugged on her sleeve while they grocery shopped one evening. “Mom, we have to get food for the poor,” she said. Her mom said, “How can you refuse THAT request?” Her dad said, “I’m proud of my daughter’s Catholic school education.   It is worth every penny.”

Well, that makes us all proud here at OLGCA. And my kids are even prouder. They not onlycollected 100 cans for the kids who might otherwise go hungry, they got to wear pjs to school! As we say around here, “We may be small in numbers, but we are mighty in heart!!”
