Whew. The craziness of the week before Christmas break is finally over!
We had a great season, though, going to the monastery, presenting our Christmas program to our parents, making crafts and learning about Advent.
Our busyness contributed to our exhaustion, crabbiness and wild excitement … but we still had to have our Christmas party. Gah!
I decided to keep it simple, and about – as they say – the reason for the season. We would have a birthday party for Jesus!
So, while the students were at library, I set the table with a Christmas cookie, party hat and a party blower.
When the students returned, we blew the blowers, said a prayer and sang happy birthday to Jesus. We ate our cookies and blew a bit more. Then we watched Charlie Brown’s Christmas.
A simple party … but we all had a blast.
Happy Jesus’s Birthday!!! ❤
