Lent is a special time for Grace, and we often do a project together, as an entire school. This year, however, we decided that each class would create its own project.

Hmmm. What could the preschoolers do on their own? Well, they could pray. Preschoolers are great at praying! ❤

So I made a bulletin board that would help us keep track of 40 days of prayer. (Thanks, Pinterest!)

We pray for Catholic Sisters, priests, deacons, parents and, of course, each other.

We pray in a special and memorable way for a friend in our classroom. Sometime during the day, I ask the children what they like about their friend. I write it on a piece of paper and send it home with each child.

It’s a small but effective way of helping them think about what special gifts we are to each other!
