Preschoolers love Dr. Seuss (as do their teachers). This Catholic preschool teacher even teaches Jesus Time lessons based on Dr. Seuss stories! ❤
Put that love of stories with a love of birthdays and you can imagine why we had so much fun celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday last week!
Of course we read story after story, including The Lorax. (Good timing, because The Lorax is all about care of the earth, and that’s one of the themes of a social media campaign called Pray it Forward. It was launched by the Benedictines and other area Catholic Sisters in support of social justice issues.)
We also made Thing One and Thing Two hats. They are simple and the kids (and I) love them!
Finally, we hopped and popped on bubble wrap after reading Hop on Pop. Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!
