So many time Catholic Schools Week and 100th Day seem to happen together. Talk about a recipe for faculty insanity! 😉
Well, this year I did something a little different. I made the whole week into a celebration of 100!
Throughout the week, at math centers, we worked with the number 100.
We rolled and colored to 100. We made Froot Loop necklaces with 100 colorful o’s.
We built with 100 pattern blocks.
Jesus Time celebrated 100, too. All week we shared about the concepts of Fairness, Respect, Responsibility and Caring. Each day, we focused on one, and brainstormed different ways to uphold it.
By the end of the week, we had listed 100 ways we could be fair, respectful, responsible and caring … just like Jesus teaches us!
In art, we created pictures of those special ways. We’ve hung the pictures up to remind us to be good followers of Jesus all year long, and not just during the first 100 days.
Finally, on the actual 100th Day of school, we made a 100th-day hat.
So, another Catholic Schools Week and 100th Day are already behind us. Now, on to Valentine’s Day. ❤
