Changing seasons bring lots of themes into the classroom.
Last week we talk about autumn, how seeds, leaves and fruit fall during fall.
When we got back to school after the weekend, we found it had happened at Grace.
All the big old ash trees that surround our playground had dropped their beautiful yellow leaves over the weekend.
Manna from heaven! 🙂
At recess, the kids played in the leaves, kicking, throwing and examining them.
They threw leaves at each other and the big kids.
They even threw them at the teachers!
Sam lay down in the leaves and made a leaf angel.
Young children are great at reminding us of the joy and fun and beautiful wonder of God’s creation. Let’s “fall” in line! 🙂
