Try indoor recess for your preschoolers
If you live around here (Rock Island, Illinois), you know what the weather’s been like. COLD. Too cold to take preschoolers out to play … which is a horrible state of affairs.

This year, we had another reason to love it. Underpants.

A Crazy Idea during Catholic Schools Week
Here's some silliness from last year's Catholic Schools Week!
Grace’s celebration of Catholic Schools Week started on Sunday with Masses at all 5 of our feeder parishes.
I went to the 8 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe.
We heard a wonderful homily about how Catholic education helps us learn how to follow Jesus. We heard parents speak about how much they appreciate Grace Academy, both for its academics and its Catholicism. And we were able to thank Grace families for all that they bring to the school.

Recently it’s been so cold and wet here (we expect a high of 5 degrees today) that the children haven’t been able to go outside to play. Aaargh. Imagine a roomful of preschoolers peering out at all the pretty snow yet cooped up inside. Not a pretty sight. 😦
