My busy summer has taken me to the University of Notre Dame (that’s the Basilica pictured here) for a Latino enrollment institute. Sponsored by the Alliance for Catholic Education, it aims to serve our Latino populations better by giving them the gift of a Catholic education. Summer (Benedictine) Adventures

Hi Everyone, I hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer. I know I am. It started with a much-needed silent Benedictine Retreat (I blogged about it 7 times as part of my reflection time – just dig backwards to find all the posts), but has ramped up since.

Crowning Mary and Learning the Rosary in Preschool

May is Mary’s month, and we’ve celebrated in a couple of ways. First, we all took part in crowning the Blessed Mother and placing flowers at her feet. And second, we learned the Rosary.

Still on the Road … to Salvation :)

After 6 years in this Benedictine community, I will make my Final Profession in July. I am living proof of St. Benedict’s words of wisdom: “The road that leads to salvation is bound to be narrow at the outset.” It’s been narrow at times, but I’m still on the road!

My Sisters have been instrumental in keeping me upright and moving in the right direction. They have always offered an understanding shoulder and a listening ear. They have become my new family, for which I am deeply grateful! Continue Reading
